WE ARE HIRING
St John’s is currently looking for 2 people to join our team.
The successful candidate will play the organ for our Sunday, Easter, and Christmas services, as well as for weddings, funerals, and other special occasions. Additionally, they will be responsible for organising and leading an occasional scratch/community choir, especially for major celebrations such as Easter and Christmas. A deep appreciation for church music and the ability to inspire through music are essential.
A diligent Caretaker is required for a part-time role (approx. 4-6 hours/week) at £12.50/hour. The Caretaker will ensure the cleanliness, safety, and readiness of our church and hall facilities.
VOLUNTEERS
Have you ever thought about becoming a sides person, reading the Bible in Church, leading the intercessions, helping to run one of the children’s groups, administering Holy Communion, making tea and coffee after the service or serving the Altar?
If you have then do get in touch.
Children’s Church
We are always on the look out for leaders and/or helpers to ‘sit in’ with the groups. Work with children is an important part of the life of St. John’s and we would love to involve some other members of the congregation in all the fun! Please contact Evie in the parish office.
Banquet Records shows
We have had a great group of volunteers who have helped at the gigs we have held at Church if you would like to join the team please contact Michael Wraight by emailing the parish office. It’s a really fun way of supporting the church and getting the opportunity to listen to live music and see the Church in ‘gig’ mode!
